First day of class today. We did a very interesting warm up called Notan. It’s based on a Japanese art form where you make cuts in a square black piece of paper and then flip out the cuts. You can see the two I made in the extras.

The day started with a very loud fan outside our room window at 5:30 am. I couldn’t sleep so I got up and did the before breakfast walk about with the early walkers. Just so you know, I am not a morning person. So after lunch I crashed. I felt terrible and had to lie down and take a rest. When I awoke I felt much better and the rest of the day went well.
