A Peaceful Corner

What a treat ... for the first time in over 18months I made an ad hoc visit to RHS Wisley on my way home from Mum's with no guessing on the weather before booking at least a day in advance.  I even had an afternoon coffee and cake sitting in the new RHS Hilltop world garden with proper a cup, saucer and plate!

Surprisingly, the garden was much quieter than during full COVID-19 restrictions, but it was good to see the majority of people still conforming to polite requests to wear masks indoors and keeping their distance.

One of my favourite parts of the garden is the South African Meadow area behind The Glasshouse.  As well as the colourful swathes of flowers, there are good views of the glasshouse including this one across the lake to one of the corner terraces ... just right for today's Mono Monday challenge hosted by random_angel.
