Look back in time

When preparing the salad for lunching ladies today I decided to make radish 'roses'.  When we did our enteratining in the 60/70's, radishes received this treatment and celery was made into 'tassels' and displayed on a party susan dish with carrots etc and  a dip in the middle.
It gave them all a good laugh and we then discussed how we used to wear our mini dresses and then  Laura Ashley with long skirts.  Of course I go back to the time when we wore full skirts with lots of frothy net petticoats.  Brought back a lot of memories of how things were and how they change over the years.  Our parents didn't have such 'fun' clothes with the austerity and two world wars.
