Kingsforth Mill in Barton Upon Humber

The mill dates from about 1800 and has an Ogee cap, and ceased to be a working mill in 1950. Not only did it grind corn but also it also had a pair of vertical stones that was used to produce Paris Whiting from local chalk which was then used to make putty and whitewash,. However they ceased the grinding of chalk in 1859.

I spotted the windmill as I parked up at the chippythis evening
