Birthdays

Today is noted for the birthday of the Queen (as in monarch of the UK, not my favourite band), and also Andie Macdowell, American actress famous for films both sides of the Pond. It also marks the appearance of this leaf on my venus flytrap.

In tribute to Andie, I'd like to post this link to a new take on one of her well-known scenes from Four Weddings and a Funeral. It was filmed at (nearly) the same place on the South Bank in London, and the outfits were copied as well as possible given the choice available at local charity shops. Apologies to blippers outside the UK who may not be able to view the link through the limitations of the BBC licensing rules. "Andie" is played by #2 daughter in a dreadful wig. Hope it gives you a laugh....
