Today at Yellow Bank

Overcast, low humidity, with a perfect temp, high of 75 deg. F. This day certainly did not go according to my plan. It was just too beautiful outside to type up a spreadsheet and make a grocery list for the WV trip and then collect staples to take with us. I noticed new weeds in the front bed while I was enjoying breakfast and prayer time on the front porch. Cleaned that up and trimmed the beauty berry bush in the formal garden to make push mowing easier for hubby. He did tractor mowing today. We showered, ate a quick lunch and headed to my mother’s with a slab of my coconut pineapple cake. Grabbed her a few unsolicited groceries just because she doesn’t get out shopping often. I stayed outside and 6 feet from her just to be cautious. I dead headed and trimmed her butterfly bush and toured her property for blip possibilities. When she was a child, my mother named this part of the farm “Yellow Bank” and she was overjoyed when my grandfather left it to her. Hubby flushed the camper water lines with bleach, fixed Momma’s weed eater, showed her how to properly set the battery pack and trimmed her path to the pier. He helped figure out issues she was having with her new cell phone. As usual, we got the better end of the deal: a crab casserole, cantaloupe and corn on the cob. Great news: my son, his wife and daughter’s COVID tests came back negative. Being a teenager, Parker doesn’t “hang out” with the family in close quarters, especially in the summer so I am not surprised the results were negative. I seriously doubt I have anything to worry about but why endanger others? Thanks so much for the stars and kind comments lately. The large garden spider is part of the collage for fellow blipper Sharon_mckelvey who is quite fond of them. I decided the only way to overcome my extreme fear of these creepy crawlers was to get up close and personal-didn’t work. Lol
