Lesser Black backed gull

I haven't seen many black backs in the past few years but this year they are more abundant.  He is a smart fellow.  
What a day.. so hot.. a wonderful sea breeze but I felt like I would fry out in the sun so we made a shady space under the rotating washing line using a rug!!  We don't appear to have an umbrella here so I might invest in a garden umbrella (sure to bring in the rain and storms though!!
Gazillions of people on the beach but because we smelt someone elses barbecue we rushed off to get a burger and had an impromtu barbecue lunch rather later than normal.. nom nom!
We have had a lovely sunshiny time up here.. always with the option if it is too hot (or wet... non this year) to come in and catch up on the Olympics.. GB are doing so well!
