Decision made

to repair. T (carpenter) came around this morning to have a look and possibly quote to make a new casement but he said it would be more economic to repair which he didn’t want to do! So a few coats of preserver and work will commence tomorrow. It will save circa £300+!

I said to T that I’m sure I could bodge it reasonably but he said “no that’s not right - what you will achieve is an effective repair”. I thought that a very good phrase.
