Alpine Gentians

I may not be able to get to the Alps this year but I can try to mimic a little bit of them on my limestone cliff.  I have been planting alpines in the grykes of my little tiny bit of limestone pavement.

It's difficult to believe just how little rainfall we have had since May.  When I moved to the Lake District I didn't expect to have to water the garden twice a day.  Parts of our lawn have lost all traces of green despite my efforts but the forecast is suggesting we may get some heavy showers over the next few days
