Staying afloat

This boat on my local canal is starting a new life as a floating coffee shop shortly. 

I stayed afloat today but it wasn’t a joyous affair. Work is either full of detail or full of change. A stress double whammy. Got my steps in ‘though and the garden was nice in the sun this evening. TSM didn’t get home until after 8pm which was a bummer.

Did have one very good piece of news in the post today … so not all bad.

Finished reading "The Impossible Office" by Anthony Sheldon, a review of 300 years of the role of the Prime Minister from Walpole to Johnson. Very good book, very carefully built around themes rather than a straight linear history. Worth remembering too that many of the incumbents had loose morals, not just the current one …

Only two days to the weekend (says the man who works Wednesday to Friday) …
