Old and New

Out walking the dog this afternoon and saw leaves from last summer still cling brown and dried on the tree that is sprouting new leaves. I pray that I still have a season of spring and summer left in me. The old clings to my soul. I wish I could shake it. Of course if I did, I would not be me. I would be someone else, somewhere else, doing something else. Glad to be who I am. At least, today.
