Sky Brown

Nil technical points for this snap in Nottingham Contemporary. Just really like the painting and it's transient link to the Olympics. Nottingham is the city where my soul lies and this scene is just down the canal from my workplace for recent years, drawing the best of old and new. 

In awe having watched Sky Brown and all the women park boarders in the final. A mind blowing amount of skill and nerve in the tricks , ingenuity and keeping so close to the street essence of skateboarding; the camaraderie, egging on and being genuinely pleased when competitors do well, and the pure freedom of spirit expressed by Bryce Wettstein from the US in particular - skated every run differently, seemingly doing just what she felt at the time, complete with ukulele strumming.
