Beach, sea, waves, sky, clouds, Barra

Our outdoors fun on our second full day on Barra included a cycle ride to Castlebay, and then on to Ledaig for a short walk along the coast. We soon found a suitable rock for watching the waves, wildlife, and the occasional boat in the distance.

When we returned to the hotel, Mr hazelh decided that it was high time for a swim. So while he braved the water, I sat on the sand and took photos, including one of surf and clouds (blipped) and the 'swimmer' (extra). I use inverted commas here because he only managed a few strokes. Most of the time he was simply playing in the waves.

The Scrabble championship continues. We have played seven games and I am just ahead with four wins.

Exercise today: 6 mile cycle ride, short walk.
