STEAMED UP AND RUNNING

This is the Scarborough Spa Express. It may have been 5 minutes late, but locomotive 35018 British India Line sounded very grand as it passed Seamer Junction today. 35018 British India Line was one of the first batch of twenty SR Merchant Navy Class steam locomotives to be built by the Southern Railway in 1945.
