My sister's birthday

Happy birthday to my sister Angela. PhilippaJ and other members of the family are celebrating whilst staying in a grade 2 14/15 century house in Essex for the week. So Jack and I drove over this afternoon to join the party. We had a delicious lunch in the outside eating area/bar.

The old building had every mod con you could think of. But what came over was the atmosphere created by the old beams, floors and walls. I hope this shot shows a little of what I felt. Those of you who follow PhilippaJ will recognise lovely Rosie, the dog, who was having a great time and seemed very much at home.
