There’s no cure for stupid!
It’s our last full day in the Lake District today and, as a) rain was forecast and b) we’re knackered, we didn’t go far. We spent a couple of hours exploring the local public footpaths (for the record, they just go though fields of sheep and cows, but the views were great and we also saw these beautiful fawns). In the afternoon we went to The Home of Kendal Mint Cake, had a browse around some antiquey-type shops then had a very nice dinner.
It was just as well we didn’t have any big plans as at about 8.45pm last night I managed to break a mug while washing up and sliced open both my little fingers. I’m no wimp but it was pretty bad so off we went to the Urgent Treatment Centre, where they expertly put me all back together within an hour (picture in ‘extras’ - not too graphic, don’t worry!).
While I was there, I asked them if there was an anti-stupid vaccine. They said there wasn’t yet but I’m sure I’d be a good candidate for any future clinical trials!
