Semi-wild flowers

We had the 3 grandchildren again today and I took the oldest to the health walk, which he enjoyed. He's been a few times in the past and remembers some of the walkers and we found this patch of flowers (and he observantly noted that there were several colours of the same sort). Mr Rat took the others to the ponds where they saw plenty of birds.
They continued doing separate things in the afternoon with the younger two playing with the Playmobil upstairs and the oldest with various things downstairs - and I did some gardening though was available if needeed. It was a very unstressful day.
I took them back home and had a chat with their dad (mum was still at work) and then helped with the club training this evening. One member is struggling to get going again after a nasty ankle fracture so I was able to encourage him and let the faster people get on with their training.
Just heard from my brother that there may be a respite place for Mum in the home of her choice in a couple of weeks so she's having an assessment next week, just before we visit. If all goes well the respite would become permanent. A big move but one she has chosen after much thought.
