Keep your eye on the Peanut
Welcome to Day 14 of the AOG (Alternative Olympic Games)! Today I am reporting on the semi finals of the Catch and Gobble Relay. The athletes start on the ground and must catch a tossed peanut in their mouth, climb the tree to the designated branch, eat the peanut and return to the ground to tap their waiting teammate. The two teams with the best times, Mountain View Squirrels and Main Street Squirrels, advanced to Saturday's gold medal race.
My blip today shows Sherman of Team MVS waiting for the peanut toss. He was in top form and caught the first peanut, secured it in his mouth and hurried up the tree to get his team off to a good start. Saturday's race will be a nail biter as the two teams were only 2 seconds apart today.
There's still time to cover AOG events in your neighborhood. All you need to do is add the tag AOG2115 for Friday or AOG2116 for Saturday. Click on my tag for today to see more AOG reports.
Thank you to everyone for your visits and stars and hearts. I appreciate all of them!
I am grateful to PD for weeding the garden today. It's usually my job but lately he's been doing it. :-))
