Day at the beach

Took our friends and their little boy down to Appley Beach, Ryde. We had lots of fun digging in the sand and collecting pebbles, and then tipping them out of the bucket! Ah, to be 16 months old! Stopped off for refreshments and cake at the Chocolate Apothecary. The hot chocolate, as you can imagine, really is top notch (and probably maxed out my caffene quota for the week!)

Cold today but so sunny and bright - it really is delightful to be so close to the sea. When we move house, we will be even closer!

In the evening we had a meal at one of our favourite restaurants. Good times.
