Cheering

We felt a bit gloomy this morning. In Tokyo, the Kookaburras lost to the USA in one of those horrible shoot outs. The Olympics are coming to an end. They have been inspirational and such a welcome and exciting distraction from Covid. We will miss them.

Meanwhile in Australia the Covid numbers are worse and there are new lockdowns in NSW and Victoria. The contact tracers seem to be really struggling to keep up with the Delta variant and we really don’t know what the future will look like.

So when Les and Tom appeared at our front door with daffodils from their garden, we felt much cheered. You can’t really be gloomy with daffodils.
