MARIA & MUM.

Maria has recently moved up to Ilkley from the south coast, she takes it all in her stride though, she tells me that since 1948 when she moved over from Czechoslovakia to join her husband who flew bombers as a comrade in arms during the war she has up sticks from all four corners of the kingdom. 65 years and still retains the rich accent of her birthplace, got me thinking about my own dear Mother who passed away when I was just a boy, she hailed from Upper Silesia but I don't remember her having a heavy accent, perhaps as she brought me up I just took the sound of her voice as being
natural , 41 years on & I still miss her so much, She would be about the same age as Maria now, perhaps I can get adopted!
