The Fringe is back

The Edinburgh Festival and Fringe is back - and along with it typical Festival weather. We had rather daringly booked a show today to go to with grandkids at the multi-storey car park, which we rather naively imagined would be under cover. It turned out to be on the top part though and only the stage was under cover. The rain started as we were queuing to go in and progressed to torrential just after the show started. After a bit and already totally soaked, we managed to get partly under the only awning anywhere near with a couple of other people, while most of the audience bravely sat it out (some with brollies). We were already totally soaked anyway. Thunder rumbled ominously above us. The rain subsided for the second part of the programme and we managed to get back in front of the stage to enjoy the rest of the show. It was a bit unfortunate that I couldn’t concentrate on the first part as I was getting drenched, but once I dried out a bit the remainder was quite entertaining - and as you can see from the pictures very colourful. The show was Shiva’s Camino -
