Bressingham Steam and Garden

We went with #2 daughter and family to Bressingham. She had happy memories of us going there as a family when she was young and my parents visited. My father had renovated an old steam road roller so was keen to see the steam engine collection. There are 3 different open trains to take visitors around the estate and gardens which was part of the entry fee £15 for adults and £10 for children. It was good value as they also got rides on the Gallopers, the blip. This had been at the old Spanish City in Whitley Bay which was a coincidence before it was sold to a travelling fair then bought by the Blooms of Bressingham. The boys loved it all. While they played crazy golf with their dad we had a wander in the beautiful gardens. I think they had been extended in the 30 plus years since we were last there, and the garden centre even more so. We were so lucky with the weather - another warm sunny day.

It is #3 daughter’s 11th wedding anniversary so they did their own thing with Ella and Nathaniel - a small zoo and a lido.
#2 daughter and husband are cooking a nice meal for us all for the anniversary and our last night.

I have made adjustments to THE coat and roughly tacked it together. AND IT FITS! Hurrah. I just hope I can match the other sleeve to the same adjustments!

We have done our next Covid tests and are negative so can continue on to stay with Carole and David tomorrow. The 2 different friends we stayed with in Cornwall have texted to say that one’s son has Covid (he’s 30 so had only one vax) and the other friend’s daughter’s colleague also has it.
