Senior club champion

So tonight I was invited to the golf club as it was the 2020 presentation evening. Despite battling advanced cancer, my husband won last year's senior club championship. They asked if I would be able to accept the trophy on his behalf. The standing ovation and thunderous applause was both heart warming and heart breaking but I managed to say a few words. In a twist of fate, the guy that he beat in the final is someone I have been linked to through work for the last two years, but we never realised the connection. He was a great support all evening. I'm so proud my husband who fought everything with such courage and positivity.
