Mountains and prairie

Today was my birthday and what better way to start it out than to drive up to the Snowy Moutains with Mom. This is the Medicine Bow Peak area. We were at about 9500 feet. The peak is around 13,000 We did a little wandering but not a lot of hiking. I'm saving that for next week when I plan on climbing the peak.
Then I drove into town later in the day for a little party. A storm was brewing and they look so stunning over the prairie. This is the extra picture.
