Book Worms Meet

Ceridwen and I had a full day, starting at the Rosenbach Museum & Library, then we split a great corned beef sandwich on our way to Book Haven, which is probably the finest of Philly's used book stores.

This is when Harry met Ceridwen. He is only a few years old and is a rescued creature. His first adopters kept him only a short time and decided he was diabetic (ha!), and brought him back to the rescue group, saying he was a "defective cat," which they had not agreed to. Finally the couple who operate this store accepted Harry as their master and quickly figured out that only his diet was wrong. No diabetes, just flaky humans!

Now Harry takes his rightful place as a union brother of Lester and Thomas, who help readers choose their purchases in other book stores around town.

Harry is a friendly, playful fellow whose coat is as fine and smooth as a sable's.
