An unusual swim this morning.

An unplanned visit from yesterday’s cousins led to a very successful quick swim and picnic at Sandycove.

Visitors for dinner then, the first proper dinner guests since goodness knows when. We had our nibbles (cucumber with almond dip and pesto) outside by the fire and came inside for mains, (cider infused chicken with herbs, roast cauliflower and Tunisian spiced potatoes) ahead of the rain. Roast figs with rosemary and strawberry carpaccio with basil sugar.
