Wildflowers on the golf course
It has been yet another day of heavy showers but we braved a short cycle ride this afternoon across the golf course, and managed to find shelter under some trees when it rained again. Alongside the bridleway there are large unmown areas full of wildflowers, including this rather attractive hillock. I also spotted, very briefly, the head of a roe deer peeping out of the long grass, a little further on.
We went in search of the ingredients to make another batch of strawberry jam. Sainsbury's had strawberries and lemons but were clean out of jam sugar. However, fortunately, Waitrose obliged, and so our bike ride proved totally fruitful.
