Clear view

The vegetation is beginning to recede, and for the first time in a few weeks there is a direct line of sight to the kingfishers’ nest in the bank underneath the holly tree. 
I’m told the fox cubs, nearly grown now, are beginning to disperse. 
First signs of autumn. It hardly seems five minutes since the snowdrops appeared.
