Terrific Day

Had a most enjoyable day in London. Up early and took a work down to Buckingham Palace before breakfast. After breakfast took the bus to Greenwich - much longer than we expected but took in the Ansel Adams exhibition after a cup of coffee.

I enjoyed the exhibition - focused on the theme of water although some of his famous Yosemite landscapes were on show towards the end. One thing which I found interesting was the amount of work (pre digital) Adams worked on his negatives. Also thought that some of the judges at local camera clubs would have argued some of the prints were under-exposed. I plan a write of the exhibition shortly.

After AA exhibition walked up the hill to the Royal Observatory and then lunch next to Cutty Sark. Walk round the restored clipper was enjoyable and worthwhile.

Home to the hotel on the Thames in the pouring rain - evening spent to a gastro pub on Pimlico Road.
