Excitement in containment
You can’t live your life by the weather forecast, but it is nice to have a guide.
Today it was spot on as it has rained for most of the day with today’s blip only being scored in a brief, sunlit respite from the deluge. Having been cooped up indoors (aside from a quick trip to Asda) with the children, you may even call it a life-saving break in proceedings.
Earlier on the “break glass in case of emergency” toy that is Lego was deployed and kept The Youngest occupied for a large parts. M’boy getting frustrated returned to his cars. They soon bucked up with the arrival of The Eldest who was mobbed upon entry and the same thing occurred when my parents arrived shortly thereafter.
I wouldn’t rob the wee ones of their excitement for all the tea in China, but man alive, sometimes it is just a bit too much!!
We watched a little of the rugby either side of tea (a nice, slow-cooked Spag Bol) and before too long the Wee Ones were finally abed and my capacity for thought slowly returned informing me that I was tired and should probably go to bed too.
Thanks for the stars and hearts for the shot of m’boy yesterday!
