Amandine's Plot Treize

Greenhouse aubergine

This is the first year I have decent size aubergines.

Usually at this point in the summer, blackfly infestations would be the issue. But in wet summers, slugs and snails have a feast on greenhouse plants. My pepper and aubergine plants all have holey leaves and I've already had to compost a few half eaten small fruit.

Not this one, though. Its skin is now thick and strong and looks very glossy!

When you've been caring for a plant since January, the mid summer harvests are a real treat.
