Hopelessly Reaching

I’ve always been a brunette; apart from that one Terry Hall incident - where my mate shaved my hair to above my ear; left it long on top and highlighted it.

My dad took one look at me; reversed the car and went home without me. He didn’t want to have people see me in the car!

Over the last few years I’ve given up the dye - brown; deep reds; went for highlights and gave in to the grey.

I haven’t had it coloured now in over two years - I cancelled a couple and then there was lock down and when I got my first appointment in august last year; I was pretty used to the colour so left it.

Today though I decided colour was in order. But who makes an appointment for 9 am on a Sunday morning? Am an idiot !

I had a picture of what I wanted - I hate doing that because the photos are models, are photoshopped, and not the same hair.

The picture on the right was yesterday the picture on the left today. I’ve gone from five shades of grey to five shades of ash blonde.

To be honest it’s quite like what i asked for - the picture was more stripy - really obvious lines of colour… what was I thinking.

I think maybe the lines are there - maybe once the toner is done washed out they’ll be more visible
