After the prettiness….

My lovely aquilegia and sweet Williams have finished and one bed frankly looked a mess.

Lidl to the rescue with some chrysanthemum plugs. I rather liked them and went back for more. Sadly, those they had left were dried and shrivelled.

But the trip wasn’t wasted. I decided to try a Cotes de Gascogne red, with Merlot and Tannat grapes. It was delicious. I’m going back for some more.
