The last ... lunch

Today was the last village Sunday lunch of the year, due to the pass sanitaire coming into force tomorrow. We don't usually go, but made an exception for today, lunching with A and C. Perfect weather, sunny without being too hot, and with a light breeze. It's a shame the social and artistic activities this summer have been so restricted ... more so than last year, curiously.

After lunch, slobbing out on the sofa, I finished The Mermaid of Black Conch, my latest surprise book. A wonderful, original love story based on legend, unputdownable towards the end. Still waiting for the next one to arrive.
