Guitar
A morning off from decorating. Arthur came over to play and wet paint and two year olds are a recipe for disaster.
It was Arthur’s birthday recently and we bought him a toy guitar. But I thought he’d really like a real one . I scoured the charity shops and found this one for five pounds! It’s twice as big as Arthur and was dirty and out of tune. I tuned it up and played the two chords I know and it sounded ok!
We gave it to Rich to try out and it sounded good in the hands of an expert. Well , good enough for a fiver anyway.
This song came to mind.
“I got my first real six-string
Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it till my fingers bled
It was the summer of '69”
