The End Of The Series And The Sabbatical

The choir and orchestra were back in the service today, joining with the band in leading congregational worship.  But, of course, you know why I can't show you all that, because I am in the choir!  The leaders and musicians you see in the collage were photographed during the sound check. before the service started.  We had a good report from Mickey on the progress being made by the pastor search committee..They are really working hard and getting sooooo close to finding the man that God has prepared to lead our church!  Then Bro. Tracy finished his series on dealing with relationships of all kinds in a Godly manner with these simple points from James 1:19.  We should be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.  He also gave us a couple of bonus thoughts.  During difficult times in any relationship, don't give up---hang on to the rope of hope, give each other grace and be willing to ask for a do-over when you realize that you are reacting in a wrong manner---even in the middle of  what you are saying or doing that is hurtful to another person.  Next week , we get to hear about God's work in the lives of our younger generations through the activities during the summer----the Summer Experience.  Don't miss it!
