Treating ourselves …

Martin and I had spotted a seafood vendor (roadside ute selling fresh seafood) last week when we drove to Yandina markets, and decided we’d like some fresh prawns for lunch.

Off we went to see what he might still have at 12noon! And he still had some of these. We are amazed at how reasonable they are to buy here - AU$25 for 12 Tasmanian oysters. Got a few more things and headed home with our “catch”!

Had a lovely afternoon out in the garden with the boys and did a little weeding too.

Finally came round to dinner time and Martin and I feasted on these yummy oysters accompanied with some Prosecco and sour dough bread. They were delicious! The boys enjoyed the prawns, not coming anywhere near the oysters, as I suspect most people wouldn’t.

Love that we can access fresh seafood easily and support a very small business :).
