THE Shadow
Sunny and mild today. Things will be heating up quickly beginning tomorrow so we enjoyed being outside. Since it is International Kitty Day, my blip was chosen for me. This girl can be the sweetest snuggle buddy but when she is done, she is done. She always heads to hubby as soon as he arrives but he forgets she likes only soft touches where our kitties like firm pats. He went home bleeding in six places - ouch! I did absolutely nothing today other than read a bit. Was restless last night and got little sleep. Sure made up for it today. My sister stopped by early for around 30 minutes. She advised me on what to do with my daughter’s straggly begonia. It came from an ancestor’s plant so my daughter wants to start it over. I may wait till we are home from WV so I can give the slips TLC till they root. Hubby brought me coffee and pancakes he made on his new griddle. Breakfast is ready for tomorrow although my daughter left bacon to cook. They are having a fantastic vaca at a NC lake. When they return, my grandson needs foot surgery. He stepped on something that lodged in the bottom and it now is inside a painful sac of liquid. That boy! My other daughter’s family did not have a great weekend. Another tire blew on their new camper after 30 minutes on the road Friday after the funeral. Fortunately, they had a spare. When they finally got to their Eastern shore VA campground, it rained. Oh my. Thanks for all the kind comments and gifts. Have a joyful week. “As every cat owner knows, no body owns a cat.” - Ellen Perry Berkeley.
