return to typical weather

We had bizarrely lovely weather last week, especially for August. This week it returns to the new normal of not just hot but over 90. 

Everyone who saw the Milky Way last night, you are welcome. I kept checking the weather and the prediction kept changing but in the end there were hours where it was visible. By that point of course I hadn't gone. Had I gone, it would have been cloud cover all night, so, you're welcome. 

Silly sighting - about an hour after I finished feeding the birds, I walked Samuel and saw crows across the street at the synagogue. One of them had a Cheeto. 

Some of the other birds enjoy the dog food (and Cheetos). 

Finally, there is a virus going around, killing birds. It has reached Maryland. Check and see if it is in your state. They've asked us to take down our bird feeders. I spread seed along my railing which at least means the birds can practice some social distance.
