Toadstool With Grass AND Snow

This is a member of the same colony of tiny toadstools I blipped a few days ago. They quickly pushed their way out of the snow. The camera was almost at ground level to get this shot.

A little more snow fell overnight. My son had a job freeing his car this morning, and he said the road was very icy. All day there was a constant drip, drip of melting snow from the roof. In shaded places the snow remained all day, but everywhere else it turned to muddy sludge. The wind was needle sharp.
