After yesterday’s book shop fail, I headed to that very loverly Topping&Co emporium with the SK (she’d never been!) and was successful. Twice over. Then we strolled on up over Calton Hill taking in their arty offerings. Dunno about the art but the way the whole place had been opened up and was being used seemed very successful. But then again, I quite like the walnut whip turd building. Down for a seat in the sun outside Pep and Fodder and home to sit and read in the garden after picking some broad beans. Until the sky got very dark and we had to scuttle indoors.
Later, the last two episodes of Philly DA about Larry Krasner and his attempts to reform the criminal justice system in Philadelphia. Terrific viewing. And then… packing!
