The long way home

A delicious vegetarian full English breakfast at the hotel followed by a very long journey home on an extremely crowded train. There were problems with point failures and delays and cancellations. I finished my book live your life by Amanda Kloots, The heartbreaking account of her husband Broadway stone Cordeiro getting Covid and spending 95 days in the ICU before he finally died. She is an incredible force of nature positive in the face of utter tragedy.

The picture bottom right is of my Dad taken by Gulliver today who is staying with him, his name is Michael and he has had this sign made for his new shed as they’ve just moved house to the countryside. He has very strong opinions and likes to talk and we often joke that if he had it his way we would live in Micktopia!

Wonderful to see Max again, the boys were out, we had a lovely salmon dinner and watched television.
