The Obedient Plant

My patch of Obedient plants (False Dragonheads) are in full bloom now.  Some call them "disobedient plants" because they do like to spread but I don't mind because they are easily pulled out in places you don't want them.  They make a lovely ground cover in sunny locations.  They are commonly called obedient plants because each individual flower will, upon being pushed in any one direction, temporarily remain in the new position as if it were hinged.  They remind me of a diminutive  Snapdragon which in Maine are grown as annuals.  Lovely plant.
