Female common hawker?

By this time, I'd already had a bumblebee trying to drink through my sleeve at the top of Langbar.  I managed to get it on my fingers where it insisted on trying the groove between my thumb and forefinger.  Eventually, it flew off - I didn't fly off but pootled on down, stopping for a photo on the way.

But then this happened.

I spotted her flying around first.  Then, she went bzzzzzzzzzzzz-zip and landed all of a sudden on the sweetpeas.  Now, the sweetpeas are a bit of a catastrophe story. One plant out of about 30 managed to grow over the weeks I was rehoming the 840 slugs.  It has finally started to flower but I've been questioning its worth - until today, that is.

When a dragonfly chooses to stop by in your garden (never before!) and picks the sweetpea stem for a rest, the sweetpeas suddenly and swiftly go up in the worthwhile rankings.
