Grasshopper

I spent about an hour in the garden (OK maybe half an hour) trying to get a decent image of the small blue butterflies which have been teasing me for the last few days. One stayed still for long enough to get some shots which suggested they might be holly blues, but there was nothing sharp enough to post. I was also looking for a white butterfly to try for high key Mono Monday, but nothing worked. I was pleased with this grasshopper and was tempted to try a high key edit but he looks so much better in green.

We won the Zoom battle this morning against Bathurst Camera Club Australia! Interestingly they were at a face to face meeting, though they were all wearing masks and socially distanced. The judge was pretty critical, giving marks as low as 12 out of 20. Harsh but fair as they say.
