To Earlsfield and on to the new Plough Lane Stadium. When we arrived the opposition team - Scunthorpe - were delayed so the match didn’t start until close to 3:30pm. I believe the event was designed to test the stadium and the main stand was almost at capacity. It’s quite an impressive achievement - although AFC Wimbledon have a large bill to pay off this season - and gives unobstructed views from everywhere. In spite of the result (AFC lost 1-2) it was a very enjoyable afternoon and I am determined to go back more often.
