Hanging On

With the close of the aogs (Alternative Olympic Games) yesterday many athletes had migrated homewards but some were hanging around making the most of their short stay. 

The Southern Hawker team were having a brief respite bickering amongst themselves on The Mythe Railway NR between the rivers Severn and Avon. I was only in the vicinity really to go to the garden centre to buy a lopper which they didn't have. Every other garden implement but not the one I needed.

This afternoon I was out with a long standing friend for a champagne cream tea in the gorgeous surroundings of Cowley Manor. This was a present long coming as it was bought for my birthday by #1 daughter last year but due to Covid they put the voucher on hold thankfully.
