better than days of the week socks

when I was a child it used to irritate me no end that we ate certain foods on certain days*. However, since my children could (I assume they can now) never remember the order of the days of the week, it became useful to use other markers of time....so Sunday became Zopf-day - the only day of the week that we ate the white, plaited bread that you have probably seen in my blips before. The only problem with this idea is when they go to other peoples' houses and find them eating Zopf on Fridays, which, obviously, is just wrong. Anyway, Wednesday has become Beetroot Soup day. And this a photo of some beetroot soup.

*Tuesday was faggot day.
