Vlieland

With warm sandwiches in the bicycle bag, we were at the jetty just after eight o'clock to sail on the boat to Vlieland. The weather was glorious again. We were able to sit on the deck for the whole hour and a half enjoying the sea.

Vlieland is only twelve kilometres long and app. two kilometers wide. A large part of the island is a sandbank and military training area. We cycled a circle on the island of 20 kilometers. In my opinion there is not much more to do than find a pancake restaurant and wait for the boat to Terschelling.

Positives: Vlieland has a nice village, has the sea, dunes, forest, heath, wad. No farms, no farmland.
I like Vlieland.
